PulseIQ helps brands message their own customers responsibly. Every workspace agrees to this policy as part of its subscription. It protects recipients, keeps sender reputations healthy and keeps our customers on the right side of Indian telecom and privacy law.
1. Message only people who agreed to hear from you
- You must have a lawful basis — normally the recipient’s consent under the DPDP Act — for every phone number you load and every purpose you message it for.
- Do not load purchased, rented, scraped or shared contact lists.
- Keep records of how and when each consent was obtained, and produce them if asked.
2. Honour opt-outs and preferences
- Give every recipient an easy way to stop messages, and act on it promptly.
- Keep blacklist and DND flags up to date in PulseIQ; do not remove a flag to message someone who opted out.
- Respect the frequency limits you configure, and use them — over-messaging drives complaints.
3. SMS: TRAI and DLT
- Register your entity, sender headers and message templates on a DLT platform as required by TRAI’s Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, and use only registered templates.
- Classify templates correctly. Promotional messages must go on promotional routes, which are scrubbed against the national DND registry and restricted to permitted hours; do not send promotions on transactional or service routes.
- You are responsible for the content of your templates and for complaints raised against your headers.
4. WhatsApp
- Follow the WhatsApp Business Messaging and Commerce policies of the platform provider, and the terms of your WhatsApp Business solution provider.
- Obtain opt-in for WhatsApp specifically before sending business-initiated messages.
- Use approved templates only, and keep your quality rating healthy.
5. Prohibited content
Do not use PulseIQ to send or store content that:
- is misleading, fraudulent or impersonates another person or brand;
- promotes illegal goods or services, gambling or betting where unlawful, or regulated products without the required licences;
- is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or harmful to children;
- contains malware, phishing links or requests for passwords, OTPs or payment details; or
- infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy.
6. Keep accounts and data secure
- Give access only to people who need it, at the lowest role that works, and remove leavers promptly.
- Do not share logins, or try to reach data or workspaces that are not yours.
- Do not attempt to unmask phone numbers the platform masks, or export data for purposes your customers did not agree to.
7. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe a workspace is breaking this policy — for example after a spike in complaints, a regulator’s notice or a provider’s warning — we may pause campaigns or suspend access while we investigate, and will tell you why. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to termination under your subscription agreement.
8. Reporting abuse
Received an unwanted message sent through PulseIQ? Tell the brand that sent it first. You can also report it to us through the contact page or to our Grievance Officer, and to your telecom operator via the DND / UCC complaint channels.
